If someone in the crowd of my three readers would be wondering why where I’ve been lately, I’ll answer pasting here a part of an article from the Italian press agency ANSA that is also about me, as my aficionados already know.
(ANSA) – ROMA, 24 NOV – A group of temporary workers at the Ispra (Higher Institute for environmental protection and research) got on the roof of the offices in via Casalotti, in Rome, protesting against the firing plan. The temporary workers, this morning, were rounded up in an assembly of the trade union Usi RdB Ricerca. The Agency have already fired 200 temporary workers with a lot of years of experience, and it’s about to firing 250 more, that is 40% of the staff and almost all the young people working for the Ispra. At the end of the firing plan, in January 2010, the sea research field would be completely reset.

(ANSA) – ROMA, 24 NOV – Un gruppo di precari dell’ente di ricerca pubblica ambientale Ispra sono saliti sul tetto della sede di via Casalotti a Roma per protestare contro il piano di licenziamenti. I precari, questa mattina, si erano riuniti in un’assemblea indetta da Usi RdB Ricerca. L’ente ha gia’ licenziato 200 precari storici e si appresta a licenziarne altri 250, ovvero il 40% del personale e la quasi totalita’ dei lavoratori giovani dell’ente. Al termine del piano di licenziamenti il settore della ricerca sul mare sara’ di fatto completamente azzerato da gennaio.
